Hello It's been a minute but Reese B. is back to blogging. Some of ya'll didn't know I'm in school for Fashion styling/Fashion Merchandising to compliment my hair styling game. This semester I'm taking advance styling and part of our class project was to attend Macy's FNO and meet one of their sponsored designers. They had a nice group of designers with different design style which was nice to see. I stopped by and talk to Palomavonbroadley.com who live model, choice of clothing and styling didn't do her work justice because when I checked out her site she had some kick ass pieces. She not only designs jewelry but also clothes. Her style is like hobo chic with edge. I also interviewed designer Tamara Jaric from Serbia. She has been living in New York for the past 6 yrs and describes her designs as edgy & sheek. Inspired by designer's Prada and Marchessa Tamara lives by these words " NEVER CHANGE WHO YOU ARE STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF" with tha mixed with confidence is the key she said! I was inspired to put together a look for my fellas. The over sized white tees and extra baggy jeans are DEAD and let's leave the skinny jeans for the youngsters. This is a look that I would like to see on someone that I'd date if we were heading out on a date to the movies, happy hour or something casual.
This song has been my latest obsession since I came across it on the internet last week. This song was one of two bonus tracks featured on the Best Buy Deluxe edition of the Pink Friday album. I hear this song was produced by Swizz Beatz but it doesn't sound like a typical Swizzy track, so I highly doubt that he produced this one. None the less I LOVE IT and have it on major repeat throught the day. You like???
I adore bright colors, so when neons made a comeback I was totally IN! From pinks, to greens and yellows to clothes, shoes, nail polish etc. I can't get enough. I pulled together an evening, daytime and an edgy look using my color of the moment Chartreuse. Now I admit that the price points of some of the pieces are out of the price range of most of us but my point in using these pieces was just for inspiration. You like???
Back in early 2008, I saw a picture of Nicole Richie wearing a pair of round frames sunglasses of which the top of the lens was tinted and the bottom half was clear. I became obsessed with them and had to find out where and if I could get them. Well turns out they were the Chanel Half Tint 5018 from 2007 that BEEN sold out. Back in February of this year, I came across a pair of a simliar style that I've been wearing since then that I found at Forever 21. So for now Round frames are my new favorites. While looking around on Polyvore.com, I came across an image of a pair of sunglasses that I instantly became obsessed with and I have to have a pair. These sunglasses are from Nicole Richie's House of Harlow design house of accessories and shoes. Wanna see more???
Kanye West released the video for his latest single "All of the Lights" from his My Beautiful Dark Fantasy cd earlier this week.. This single features Rihanna and Kid Cudi who are also in the video. The video is full of flashing colors and lights, so much so that YouTube removed the video from its site as it may trigger seizures. I'm a huge Kanye West and he can almost do no wrong in my eyes. The CD is fab and I can hardly wait for his collabo CD with Jay.
So while browsing on BTH I found this super kool hair designer and I had to do a post on her! Her work is unique, artisy, colorful and dynamic! Her eye for color and precision is amazing..so you up and coming hair aritst and colorists take notes to Sue Pemberton
As you can see above all cut and colors are created equal! Meaning most textures of hair can be styled and colored this way depending on the health and condition of hair.
Well as you all know by now Rozay is my celebrity crush & I love his music! Earlier today I was riding and blowing one while listen to one of my favorite songs off his ASHES 2 ASHES mixtape which happen to be the tite of the song. In the end of the song @ the 2:24 mark he gives a S/O to Ms. Neal spittin the verse " NEW APT IN THE INNER CITY SMOKIN OUT, IM WIT ELISE SO ATLEAST IM GOING TO SMOke A OUNCE" Cute couple, Im not hating happiness is everything and we all deserve it! I was excited to see the Ruthie Davis Spring 2011 Collection last week. The reveal of shoe line's collections never disappoints! And this season was no exception. There's always a lot of drama and edge along with eye catching color and embelishments. Wanna see more???
I may not have been posting in a while but I have kept my eyes on the goings on of the reigning Queen of Hip Hop Miss Nicki Minaj. She released her debut album titled "Pink Friday" back in November which was recently certified platinum (GO NICKI). Most recently Nicki cover the Spring issue of V Magazine. Wanna see more???
